Taylor Lautner Teaming Up With Adam Sandler for Grown Ups 2
Team Jacob may be joining Team Adam.
Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner is looking to try his hand in the laugh department as he’s in talks to costar with Adam Sandler in Grown Ups 2, the sequel to the latter’s 2010 comedy hit that also featured Chris Rock, David Spade, Rob Schneider, Kevin James, Salma Hayek and Maya Rudolph.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, the 20-year-old thesp would play a “fun” role that would see him go head-to-head with Sandler’s character in a follow-up tale about a bunch of high-school friends who reunite after 30 years.
Sorry, girls. No word whether Taylor will be taking his shirt off.
But those abs certainly helped The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 powers its way to $705 million at the global box office (though it’s worth noting his thriller Abduction did a disappointing $82 million). Lautner is also slated to appear in a Gus Van Sant drama later this year.
The original Grown Ups grossed $162 million domestically and another $109 million internationally—pretty good for a flick featuring a bunch of fortysomething Saturday Night Live alums.
Most of that cast is expected to be back for the next installment, as will director Dennis Dugan, who collaborated with Sandler on Happy Gilmore, Big Daddy and this year’s Razzies record-holder, Jack and Jill, among others.
Also on board for Grown Ups 2 is newcomer Oliver Cooper, who made a name for himself as a lead in Project X and signed on for an unspecified part last week.

Taylor Lautner’s Wax Statue Unveiled
The ladies of London, England got quite a gift today (January 26), as a wax likeness of Taylor Lautner was introduced at Madame Tussauds.
The life-like statue looks exactly like the “Twilight Saga: New Moon” stud, and female fans were eager to get up close and personal with the faux Taylor.
And according to Liz Edwards of Madame Tussauds, it was a no-brainer for them to create the Lautner figure.
“Taylor was one of the most requested personalities in 2011. We wanted to do something fun to celebrate Taylor’s arrival and what better way than to try and answer the ultimate question - Taylor vs R-Patz - who is the supreme king of hearts?”

Taylor Lautner wows in Total Film magazine outtakes
Taylor Lautner, who admits he had to be force-fed to bulk up for Breaking Dawn, showcases his ripped physique in newly released outtakes from Total Film magazine.
In the photos, Lautner, 19, poses in a ripped t-shirt and jeans, putting his muscular arms and flat abs on display.
‘I Love Doing My Own Stunts’
Taylor, a former junior world karate champion, learned to box and wrestle for the action flick Abduction. The athletic Lautner, who loves physical challenges, enjoyed doing his own stunts in both Abduction and the Twilight franchise.
“It was awesome! I got to do almost all of my own stunts,” Taylor gushed. “I love the stunts, so to be able to have that opportunity was incredible.”
Scaled Back Training After Breaking Dawn Wrapped
Lautner, who famously gained 30 pounds of muscle to play werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight saga, still works out to stay fit, but his exercise regimen isn’t nearly as intense as it was when he was shooting the Twilight movies.
“I remember my last shirtless scene, when we were filmingBreaking Dawn,” Taylor recounts. “When we wrapped the scenes with my body in them, that was such a night! I went out and I had dessert for the first time in like a year. I took a few days off from the gym, another HUGE deal.
“I’m definitely back into working out again. But it’s very different, working out to be active and healthy. It’s less about bulking up and more about just staying healthy.”

Taylor Lautner: Pacific Design Center Stud
He’s been keeping a low profile these days, but Taylor Lautner was caught by the paparazzi while out in West Hollywood on Thursday (January 12).
Looking hunky in a navy short sleeve top with grey trousers and aviator shades, the Jacob Black stud offered up a smile as he made his way inside the Pacific Design Center during the midday outing.
The sighting comes as Taylor is easing back into public view just prior to next week’s DVD release of his movie “Abduction” - which will be available to bring home on January 17th.

Taylor Lautner Tells Fans: Forget ‘Twilight’
In a recent interview, Twilight heart-throb Taylor Lautner gave his loyal and loving fans some interesting and seemingly ironic advice. He told them to just forget about Twilight. That’s not a misprint. Now that the Twilight Saga has come to an end, he wants people to just forget about the famous vampire films and the part he played in them.
In a recent interview, Taylor Lautner explained that the only way he’ll ever be successful as a multifaceted actor is if he and his fans learn to “separate” the Twilight Saga’s Jacob from his roles in other films. And not just him. He believes the same holds true for his famous co-stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as well. That’s because the roles they played on Twilight are unlike any others they have ever undertaken—before or since. In fact, Lautner believes Twilight is unlike any other movie ever made.
“You kind of just have to realize that Twilight is Twilight and it’s unlike anything else,” mused Taylor Lautner. “So forget about that for a second and if you can do that then you’re fine! Because we do what we love to do and do things we are passionate about and really hope that people enjoy them.”
Interestingly, all 3 Twilight stars now have upcoming films. Robert Pattinson has Cosmopolis and Bel Ami. For Kristen Stewart, it’s Snow White and the Huntsman. And Taylor Lautner will star in the upcoming Incarceron. So far, it looks like the fans they garnered from their Twilight Saga days will have no trouble separating them from their characters.
